Waupaca Foundry is proud to support the next generation of ambitious leaders by providing scholarships to students in Waupaca Foundry communities. This year, we awarded $26,500 to seventeen deserving high school seniors.

Recipients of our 2024 scholarships include:
Waupaca, Wisconsin – Headquarters, two gray iron foundries, and a machining operation.
Julia Munoz ($2,000) will be attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where she will be pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. Her father, Jody Munoz, a 31-year employee, works at Plant 1 in the pattern shop.
Carter Melum ($1,000) will be attending North East Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) where he will be studying Electrical Power Distribution. His father, Michael Melum, a 31-year employee, works in maintenance at Plant 2.
Ian Sherman ($2,000) will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for Mechanical Engineering. His father, Lance Sherman, a 27-year employee, works as a project engineer at Plant 2/3.
Kayla Keil ($2,000) will be attending the UW-Green Bay for Nursing. Her father, Matthew Keil, a 24-year employee, works as a lab technician at Plant 2.
Alyssa Durrant ($2,000) will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Social Welfare and Spanish.
Ryan Prellwitz ($1,000) will be attending Fox Valley Technical College to become a Computer Support Specialist. His mother, Jessica Prellwitz, a 7-year employee at the Waupaca Foundry Headquarters. 

Marinette, Wisconsin – A ductile iron foundry and casting finishing division.
Henry Bailey ($2,000) is a graduate of Marinette High School and will be attending UW-Stevens Point to obtain a degree in business. His father, Tom Bailey, a 31-year employee, works in VMM at Plant 4.
Isabelle Bentley ($2,000) is a graduate of Menominee Area Public Schools and will be attending NWTC to pursue a degree in marketing. Her father, Tony Bentley, a 25-year employee, works in maintenance at Plant 4.
Nicolas Baldwin ($1,000) is a graduate of Marinette High School and will be attending Fox Valley Technical College to pursue a degree in fire protection. 
Alex Macejak ($1,000) is a graduate of Peshtigo High School and will be attending NWTC to pursue a degree in electro mechanical technology. Alex is a current electrical maintenance employee at Plant 4. 

Tell City, Indiana – Gray and ductile iron foundries.
Carson Guillaume ($1,500) is a graduate of Perry Central Community School Corporation and will be attending Western Kentucky University to obtain a degree in Architectural Science. His father, Robert Guillaume is a tooling engineer at Plant 5. 
Natasha Poole ($1,500) is a graduate of Perry Central High School and will be attending Vincennes University to study Pre-Vet. Her mother, Misty Park, a 24-year employee, works as a process engineer at Plant 5. 
Aiden Labhart ($1,500) is a graduate of Perry Central High School and will be attending Indiana University where he will be obtaining a degree in Biology.
Carter Vogt ($1,500) is a graduate of Cannelton City Schools and will be attending Indiana University where he will be obtaining a degree in Chemistry.
Xander Scioldio ($1,500) is a graduate of Tell City-Troy Township Schools and will be attending the University of Southern Indiana to obtain a degree in Electrical Engineering. 
Devon Ramirez ($1,500) is a graduate of Tell City Jr-Sr High School and will be attending Owensboro Community & Technical College where he will be studying Electrical Science. His father, Jose Ramirez, a 15-year employee, works as a millroom inspector for Plant 5. 
Savannah Young ($1,500) is a graduate of Tell City Jr-Sr High School and will be attending Kentucky Wesleyan College where she will be obtaining a degree in elementary education. Her father, Pat Young, a 21-year employee, works as the millroom team lead at Plant 5.
